Description

Arajuno Jungle Lodge is a private, family owned forest reserve located on the scenic banks of the Arajuno River, an hour from the town of Tena, Ecuador. The lodge is adjacent to the Jatun Sacha Biological Field Station. The owners and staff are dedicated to the conservation and protection of the planet through direct action.

The lodge encompasses 217 acres of primary and secondary forest, organic farm, agro-forestry system, two rivers, fish ponds, observation tower and more. Access to the lodge is by road with the final leg of the journey in dugout canoe. They are located near the Amazoonico animal rescue project which guests can visit as well as floating on the Arajuno river, birding, hiking, swimming and fishing. There is a lagoon and a native species breeding center where they are working with Capybaras, Agouties, aquatic turtles, dwarf caimans, and aquatic snails.

The owners personally seek to create the best settings for their guests to have a profound and unique experience. That is, enjoying a spirit of learning, laughing and healing in the pristine environment of the Amazon jungle.
